Renault Sport Formula One Team equalled its highest result of the year so far as Nico Hülkenberg brought the R.S.17 home in sixth position in today’s British Grand Prix. Nico started from a season-best fifth and had a strong race to claim a valuable eight points for the team. Brit Jolyon Palmer had a disappointing end to his home Grand Prix as he stopped on the formation lap with a loss of hydraulic pressure.

Renault Sport Formula One Team today secured its best-ever qualifying finish since its full return to the sport 18 months ago. Nico Hülkenberg put the R.S.17 into a superb sixth position in the rain-affected session for the British Grand Prix, his fifth Q3 entrance* and best qualifying since joining Renault Sport Formula One Team at the start of the year. After penalties further up the field, Nico will start fifth.

Renault Sport Formula One Team’s preparations for the British Grand Prix got underway today at Silverstone. Nico Hülkenberg had a productive day with 56 laps completed over the two 90 minute practice sessions. Seventh best time in the afternoon demonstrated the qualifying potential of the R.S.17. Jolyon Palmer’s start to his home event was slightly more interrupted, but he nevertheless got 41 laps under his belt with a best time of 1min 30.879secs.

Groupe Renault is proud to be able to celebrate the production of the millionth vehicle at the Renault-Nissan plant in Tangier: a five-seat, Azurite Blue Dacia Lodgy powered by a diesel engine and sold to a customer in Turkey. In all, 474,840 Sanderos, 320,078 Dokkers and 193,181 Lodgys have been manufactured in Tangier since the plant’s inauguration in 2012. In addition to covering the Moroccan market, the models built at the factory are exported to more than 73 destinations.
